1) special days within an appointed festival,
2) the seventh year of a seven year cycle,
3) the Jubilee year (50th year at the end of a 49 year cycle).
The general term "Sabbath" meant a God-designated time of rest, a cessation of regular work.
Secondly, in the Bible, a day was considered as extending from evening to evening. This was instituted at Creation. In the Genesis account, we find the terms "And there was evening, and there was morning, the (first, second, third, etc.) day." (See Genesis chapter 1).
Gen. 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.The Sabbath day was initiated by God on the seventh day of Creation as a memorial of His creative powers. He reinforced it to His people by its inclusion in the Ten Commandments. The Sabbath day is a day of rest and worship that will continue to be observed in Heaven (see Isaiah 66:22 and 23).
Yet there has been some controversy as to whether the requirement to observe the Sabbath day as a day of rest is still relevant given that many feel that the Ten Commandments were done away with at the cross. A similar viewpoint was that grace did away with the commandments, i.e. the law. Others argue that the Sabbath was just for the Jewish people and doesn't apply to Gentiles. Are any of these arguments valid? If not, then how and when did most Christianity begin worshipping on Sunday rather than on Sabbath? Exod. 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.The Sabbath is a sign between God and man

@atamotua64 Thanks for the link but I do not see teachings on end times bearing much fruit for me. The Spirit says He will reveal things to me as they happen and not to focus on what is to come but to focus on today. I am called to disciple all nations and show everyone the love of our Father through Christ and his Spirit that is in me. It seems getting caught up in end time teachings would hinder his will for my life. Although the Spirit could very well be leading you to study these things.

@atamotua64 Its simple brother Christ desires love for oneanother over sacrafice we can qoute who ever we want but without his Spirit leading us its pointless. I respect your view and honor you and I am happy to serve are Father beside you. If we can both agree that loving oneother comes first all others will fall into place. I know all the scriptures your qouting and have read them many times and we simply interpert things differently I honor the law but I am not restricted from loving by it.

@atamotua64 My point exactly you dont understand the new covenant and dont understand the fullfillment. You believe that I am saying the law is no more but that is not what I am saying I am saying It has been made perfect through Christ and has been fullfilled. You live under 613 commands and I live under one. Dont you see it is what comes from the heart that is unclean not what day I keep holy. Responding with the fruit of the Spirit loving my Father and nieghbor covers the entire law.

@apostleled85 You keep quoting Paul as if he didnt know what he was saying. Paul was a philosopher, so he's not extremely easy to understand. Did you know Paul also said "So is the law bad, should we do away with it? GOD FORBID... NO." I'm paraphrazing a bit but that's the idea.... look it up, it's there...

@apostleled85 New Coventant was not based on people's PROMISES anymore. Does not mean law was done away with. FULFILLMENT of Law does not mean to do away with law. Jesus said "I have NOT come to destroy the law, but fulfill it"... so if you say "fulfill" = "do away with", then "I have not come to destroy the law, but do away with law" which really makes NO SENSE. (besides other hundreds of pieces of evidence)

@atamotua64 Im not sure what you are trying to say about the apostles. Paul teaches your faith is weak for judging those who dont keep the same holy day as you. You simply dont recognize the new covanant and the fullfillment of the law.

@atamotua64 Your Truth says I am in sin if I dont keep your same holy day as you. It bothers me to see brothers condemning eachother for this reason. As you can see I commented on the video not to you but you felt that I needed to be shown my errors by your so called truth when truth is that our Fathers spirit is in me and is very able to show me my errors.
