Jonathan Lyon, son of deceased Conservative Premier Sterling Lyon is the Chief of Staff for Manitoba Conservative leader Hugh Mcfadyen.Jonathan Lyon makes the major decisions for the Conservative party of Manitoba. His wife Bonnie Staplesworks in the office of the Winnipeg mayor Sam katz.
Michael Balagus is the chief of staff of the NDP....he is the head honcho who makes all the final decisions for Greg Selinger the Premier of Manitoba...these chief of staff guys are real backroom guys who run the show ...but most of the people in Manitoba really don't know of their existence...they think that the Premiers run the staff when in reality these backroom guys are the real bosses of the Manitoba Political parties...every decision that Hugh Mcfadyen and Greg Salinger make goes through the chiefs of staff while the Liberal leader Jon Gerrard is his own boss.
It will be interesting to see which Manitoba leader is still around in the fall after the Manitoba election because whoever loses will be subject to a party review and possibly the one that loses will lose his leadership of the party.
