The fact is Almaz kennels was breeding for size,for financial gain $$$ and did not care what happens to the dogs.Most of the dogs from this litter 95%have been put down.All the pain & heart ache that Almaz kennels have caused is a CRIME!!! I am happy that Almaz is no longer in business.Few dogs that are still living are suffering because of UNETHICAL BREEDING of Almaz Kennel!

@mudshovel007 It's a term put on someone who breeds their animal too much. It's objective, but with large dogs, many feel 2 litters per bitch is maximum. I feel that if the bitch is really excellent, 4 is the absolute maximum. Some feel this is too much, though. The best time for breeding is around 2 years old. Females over 5 or 6 can start throwing unhealthy pups of less quality than she did when she was younger, while some males can produce full, healthy litters up to 12 yrs of age!

Can someone explain to me what over breeding is exactly? A dog can only breed quality so many times or what? Why would his seed go bad? Age? What is it? Thanks!

@GrigoriZhukov no problem Americans ruin good bred stock with all the close inbreeding that is allowed and the sloppy oversight of their breed programs.GSD from "American" lines are a joke and they are sloppy in gait ect. Now the working lines of Europe. Very fine true to the breed and standard. I hope you fine your healthy well bred dog in the breed you love. Loss like this stays with you for years. You did nothing wrong. Through your suffering and sadness we will learn and made a change.
