This 3000 yr. old game has evolved quite a bit over the centuries but I imagine the same excitment and skills were on display in another form. Arguments were settled and insults forgiven- even marriages decided on the day! Different gods prayed to and sacrafices made. The senses of agony and ectasy are there still, and those of us who've never set foot inside Croker, thank you and the Internet for this short but magical introuction. Go raibh mile maith agut (?)

@ConCon75 A great sport that is celebrated by the whole island of Ireland. And thanks to some forward thinking by the GAA over the past few years is really bridging the gaps between communities..
