Purple Tunnel of Doom -- a Song

i'm in one of the pictures lol oh yay but not really

Myself and 5 friends were in line by around 6:30 a.m. It was dark when we entered the tunnel, but we walked all the way to the front to ask a police officer to see where we were supposed to go. The ball we had tickets to that night made up for a LOT of it.

You Pictured it quite well.  I was there too.

I was in the Purple Tunnel. Brings back fond memories and thanks for making me laugh about it.

are there two tunnels or maybe 2 different sections of the tunnel??

I walked thru the tunnel heading north (from Independence) about 7:30 - 8 AM, walked thru freely.

maybe i was walking on the southbound side, even though i was heading north.??

I know that when we came out from underground, we headed off to the left, might have been near H Street.
am very confused how I did not get caught in the tunnel. still never made it thru the purple gate, but at least I was not in this tunnel!!
