*Sigh* I really miss my old Escorts. OK, the first was a '68 1100 Super and the second was a 1300 Estate from the end of the 70s and both were to succumb to the old rustworm but both were fund to drive in a way that I've never found any of my other cars to be. With all the gubbins they stick in a car these days, they can never quite reproduce what the Escort had. As for the Mk.III onwards... hah! Stretch Fiestas!

@Calvertfilm I always thought it stood for Experimental Research, but I could be wrong. Either way the only one I ever owned was the XR3 - the non-injected earlier version. I'd give anything to have that car back *sigh*

@squeakyboi96 Yeah cool. I have seen an XR8 over here in the UK at a car show. The first XR was an American car - the XR7.
