The more important ? Brown should ask is "Does Palin have the temperament to deal with military and security issues in the context of her role as Governor?" Think: Alaska is separated from lower states,close to China: it makes sense that her concern for defense of entire US was more acute than say the gov of Iowa.Brown couldn't ask that ?; it would have made her look like she thinks women can't make those kinds of decisions when Thatcher, Maier,other wmn have made those decisions b4

The idea that all decisions are made only by one person(dictatorship) is the premise of Brown's question."But that was Petraeus":even the Gen'l doesn't make a decision without consulting with appropriate advice,and acts within his scope of powers.Is Brown suggesting that Palin had only a listening role, asked no questions and never offered her opinion, that she was never asked? Not how it works&not how Palin works either.Essentially her ? was a red herring.
