While on the Big Island in 2009, my friend John Malcom Smith invited me to spend an afternoon at CandyLand Studios located in the old industrial center of Kona where Sharon Olson and Sean Simon have taken over the old starter/alternator repair shop and turned it into a tiny artspace. Located on Lehua Street on right hand side pass Bamboo II, the studio is used for recording, art display and poetry reading.. They have a website at CandyLandStudio.com.
