yEAH it was pretty accurate a movie, including the following 15 years.
However it wasn't the violence that was as enthralling as the rest that keeps people on the psyche books to this day.(well life is life 4 drugs...)
However it was nice to think that the people living in dangerous/creepy deserted buildings were harmless vegans who dropped harmless trips & smoked harmless mull & had harmless sex in front of anyone & NOT DANGEROUS CRIMINALS AS SUSPECTED.

This is a great Aussie movie, why do the good ones get forgotten about. A must see for everyone and anyone, except those going straight or doing detox.

one of my favourite ever movies - I've heard the DVD version is shockingly bad quality and the VHS version is much better - dunno why - this film needs a rerelease !!!

I actually lived in the house in the movie in 1982. There was about six people living there at the time, mostly students. A band used to practise in one of the upstairs bedrooms too.
