Food Network's Mo Rocca chose Farrell's Gibson Girl sundae as the best ice cream treat he ever ate. A combination of Farrell's rich creamy vanilla ice cream, butterscotch topping plus cherry nectar from the Gods. Topped with whipped cream, exotic sherbets, and toasted nuts.
I MAKE ONE OF THESE EVERYDAY,
I GOT A HUGE GLASS, I PUT IN BUTTERSCOTCH, SCOOPS OF THRIFTY VANILLA, SCOOPS OF RAINBOW SHERBERT, CHERRY NECTAR, WHIPPED CREAM NUTS, BOOM!

Growing up in the early 1980's in Southern California, Farrell's was the place my friends and I loved to have birthday parties before Chuck E. Cheese came to town. I think my local location closed before I could finish elementary school. I assumed the whole company went out of business until I heard about a San Diego area restaurant on a food show a couple of years ago. So I Googled Farrell's and here I am. Sorry to see that there are so few of them now.

AAH! I loved this when it came on tv. Mo Rocca is so funny when he's lusting after that ice cream.

Love the Gibson Girl, but my personal fav is the Trough. Wish there was a Farrell's here in Santa Fe! I'd love to introduce my friends here to a Zoo!! ;-)
