why do you say that?
the car (Rx7, the handling beast) is still the same.
there's nothing diff about the suspension or the car itself, just the engine.
the ls1 doesnt weigh a whole lot more than the 13b either, so it wont throw the weight distribution too much or anything.
actually having more torque will be easier for "canyon racing"(is that like touge? I dont get what you're talking about when you say canyon. sorry)

If you left the junk rotary in the car you could make even more smoke without spinning the tires. LOL

Nice car buddy, who needs a rotary :P

I did the swap myself. for under 1500 bucks I gained 370 hp :) I respect the rotary, but putting a new 13B in it was just not in my budget.

MEET THE NEW LSX7

I like the car and the Lsx engines. But that's not an Rx7 anymore, that's a x7 with an LS engine cuz the R stands for rotary and that car no longer has it's rotary.

could only spin em on the tracks ??
Plz tell me how u did it under 1500$ were did u get the mounts and was the motor froM a junk yard? How much did they charge u and did u get all used parts

@charliemac94
1500 means you found a bunch of parts for free.
the breakdown of the costs are around 5k
motor 2300, from crashed 01 ss camaro.
gear box free, LKQ wrecking, dont ask how free happen, lol
mounts 350, driveshaft 25, (corvette c5) w/new flange.
radiator, fuel pump, braking system, suspension, Tuning, Cam, Valve Springs, HP Rods
This is the Fastest cheapest project you can make without shelling out 80K for a new vette.
Good luck, See you in the fast lane,

@mattony23 HeyI have a serious question for you, since everyone (import lovers) raves about how great the RX-7's are and how the cars rotary engine can rev off the limiter why do so many people choose to drop an LS1 into it and scrap the original engine?

@insatiableTy
Its cost vs power.
Rotaries are fantastic with huge power band but cost twice as much to get 350bhp than a V8.
