Not just in Islam, but in most religions. Mary was 13 when she had her child. The prophet married Aisha, but they were never intimate. He never had sex with her. @atcwiz This is completely appalling. We actually saved an Iranian refugee from execution, he managed to get out of the country, he wasn't even out of school yet. Richard Perle interviewed him, I believe it's on youtube. The young kid told Richard Perle not to underestimate his leaders. When they say they want to annihilate a country, they mean in. He said they're ruthless, deceptive and cannot be trusted. He also said sanctions will do nothing, only military action.

The age of consent is in Iran is 9 years old because Mohammed raped Aisha when she was 9. so they allow this as they feel that Mohammed cannot do anything wrong.
