  • @vinnienickoloff90 And that's bad how ? Great artists like The Roots deserve all the mainstream exposure they can get.

  • The Roots rocks, period.

  • black thought live is better than most studio rappers, who when put on stage need 3 or 4 hype men filling in lines for them

live performance is a very important aspect of being a mc, and this guy is without a doubt the best live performer around

havin that ok band helps too, i guess, haha

  • hey hey that's the point of the song n'est-ce pas? Being mainstream isn't the objective, it's about being unique and the Roots achieve it even if they don't sell as many records or are as well recognised as they would like. Just cause something is artistically brilliant, doesn't mean it'll be hugely popular...

  • je men rapelle...il avai tt niké ce soir la j etai comme un dingue devan ma tele

  • I can't find a live version with the guitar solo in it : (

  • Superb I love how tht nigga is actually speaking clearly. I go to live shows and I can't even hear the so-called "mc". Roots forever

  • @muzace Most things that are artistically brilliant are not popular, usually, anymore. Those days are long gone, but maybe (and hopefully) will return in the future .

  • never do whaat?

  • @behtashbg I've been to a lot of hip hop shows, and no emcee was more impressive than Reef the Lost Cauze. No hype men, no entourage, no band, just him and a DJ.

Black Thought is one of my favorites, but he's never without his hype man.
