A review for the whole line-up available from the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company. Premium Brand: Schlitz Beer (4.7% ABV), Economy Brand: Old Milwaukee Beer (4.6% ABV) and Malt Liquor: Schlitz Bull (5.9% ABV). This was just an experimental video to try out an idea I had in my mind. http://www.schlitzgusto.com/ http://www.oldmilwaukee.com/ http://www.schlitzbull.com/

  • You have to rate Schlitz Bull Ice, Schlitz Red Bull (XL), and Schlitz VSL (Very Smooth Lager.) GO CUBS! Oh, and in Canada there's the Schlitz Genuine Gold. Excellent idea to review all the brands across the board like that!

  • @ronaldtheriot Well I've had all except the VSL and Schlitz Genuine Gold. All the malt liquors that I've had I would probably give them Glass Half Empty also, so that's why I decided to just do the primary malt liquor, OML (that and the other three are darn near impossible to find around here, and I've yet to find the VSL anywhere) I've just had the idea to do them across the board like that for a while. I think I'll try to do Anheuser-Busch next.

  • @andy49093 That's a brilliant idea (the across-the-board thing). I've ONLY seen Schlitz Red (XL) in Queens, New York City (2010)- naturally, I immediately bought it. I've ONLY seen Schlitz VSL (Very Smooth Lager) in Tallahassee, Florida (2009)- naturally, I immediately bought it as well. Once, I saw Schlitz Bull Ice in Oklahoma (1997) and, like a fool, I didn't buy it. I'm gonna continue my fanatical search for Schlitz products. Keep up the good work, Andy!

  • @ronaldtheriot The only one I'm currently searching for is the Yellow/Gold Bull (VSL). I found the Ice Bull (IML) while on a trip out west last summer at a TA Travel Center in Wyoming, and like an idiot I only purchased one. I found Red Bull (XL) at a gas station in Dearborn, Detroit, MI when I went to the Henry Ford Museum. I bought 4, shared one with my dad and one with a friend. I intended to drink one and review one, but I was thirsty one day after mowing the yard... So much for that one...

  • Wonderful review Andy, thanks for the info. My Brother in law worked for Schlitz years ago told me stories about it. This beer brings back so many nostalgic memories for so many people.

  • @BeerExpedition Thank you for your kind words! I love what I do and it makes me glad that others get enjoyment out of it.

  • They stopped selling Schlitz in cans in Knoxville but only now have it in Bottles and its a bit overpriced. It used to be 3.50 a six and now its at least 6 bucks but now I can get Old Milwaukee instead for 3.50 but its as you say not as hoppy as Schlitz but its certainly better than some of the other brands (like Pabst)... it tastes better to me. I wish they'd have left the Schlitz in cans and affordable.

  • @andy49093 Don't you hate when you do something like that. If I see the VSL in Florida this summer, I'm buying it fo sho!

  • Natural Ice!!!
