I have compiled some Christian Orthodox chants from around the world and combined them with Orthodox visuals to create a slide show.

Chant 1 - English - 'Cherubic Hymn: After The Entrance' - chanted by Cappella Romana

Chant 2 - Slavonic - 'Dostojno' - chanted by Divna Ljubojevic

Chant 3 - Greek - Christos Anesti - chanted by Petros Gaitanos

Chant 4 - Japanese - Christ Is Risen - chanted by Stavropoleos Choir

Chant 5 - Greek - Defte Lai - chanted by Divna Ljubojevic

I have an Arabic chant that I wanted to place in the clip as well but for some reason I couldnt add it. Shame because it is absolutely beautiful and from our Antiochian Orthodox brothers - look for version 2 when I figure out how to do this.

For now check it out here - http://www.esnips.com/doc/42576747-cd12-4d52-8361-4b3357756526/02---Pesma--2

  • just want to say where are the Georgian Orthodox Christian chants? the nation who withstood two monster Muslim states for 1500 years -Turkey and Iran- in the battle of religions?!?!

  • @Lado1677 Ill look to add Georgian & Arabic chants to an updated version of this when I get a chance.

  • @Kosta63 Hi Kosta - I created this a while ago and cannot remember where I got all the photos. I may however still have them on my PC. Private message me your email and I will look into sending them to you if you do not have them yet.

  • Wonderful compilation! Have you created the second part yet?

  • @Lionheart5294 Not yet, I hope to soon.

  • Voices of angels, earth and heaven alike. Beautiful. I cannot wait to convert to Orthodoxy and hear this in liturgy.

  • Beautiful. The more I hear of Orthoodoxy in its music, the more I love it. I can't wait until I am received into the Church at last.

  • Beautiful pictures. A very spiritual music. Thank you for so many of God's beauty.

  • @PneumaticFire u forgot armenian orthodox chants :D

  • @9:00 -end; Absolutely divine music.

  • @slukky Its not about denomination, its about what those denominations teach. If you do not teach the message of God correctly, then you are wrong.

  • @Demarco009

do you think God gives a rip what denomination you are? that was the folly of the jews and it's the error of catholics today.

  • the music is lovely and ethereal, but the message is overlaid w/ too many traditions that partially hide the central message to us all: repent of our sinfulness and ask Christ to forgive our sins, once for all time (as explained in Hebrews), knowing that He will keep His promises and save us from our just punishments. our good works do NOT get us to heaven. too many orthodox think they can just go to church and give their offerings and all will be well w/ their souls. then they go off & act bad.

  • Most beautiful music i have ever heard

  • @willz3141 The differences are not petty. If they were petty, there would never have been a schism.
