@Jemalacane only very rarely, for the denver trips the 844 has the worlds largest diesel right behind the tender and when she goes on other trips she normally has an sd70ace with her. meanwhile the 3985 can just go where ever she pleases without a diesel. Maybe it has to do with the size of the 3985 compared to the 844.

yea, it gets real steamy at 5 below zero @ riding around with the windows down at 65mph, frostbite is a concern. but your comments have made it all worth it, thanks
