@ccetdany Don't get me wrong, Rob is a great lifter, no doubt about it :)
-
Seeing a failed rep by Orlando scares the hell out of me...You know something is about to be broken.
-
OK what did I learn ? That great athletes miss lifts get pissed off but then they get in there and dig in till they get it right.
everyone shows great lifts great lifters show you the process , Rob is just honest as he is strong
-
if you're not failing, you're not trying
-
Yeah Ben smith sets PR's like every third day! Nice job though!
-
love rob O! But man if he had better technique! His pull is out of this world! lol
-
Admitting you are still learning at 36, being a top notch CrossFitter and athlete... makes you that much greater Rob.
-
This is not a strength issue, this is a technique issue. It looks more like a sumo power clean to a push press. Rob, you have more than enough strength to do this, just tighten up the form and you will see it will be much easier.
-
I love how angry Rob gets ;) I get pissed too, not as much as him, but I DEFINITELY understand him! You're the best Rob!

@trfitness89 Of course, Olympic lifters have been training at it since childhood or early adolescence.. Rob is a top CrossFitter, strongman and athlete, but he doesn't have as much experience as an Olympic legend like Pyyros Dimas, so it's normal he's going to struggle at really heavy weights... Still, there aren't many people in this world who can clean and jerk 310 lbs ^^
Rob's water bottle is like a red shirt in star trek... when it shows up you know it's gonna get offed.

You seem to have a good head on your shoulders, so I shall give constructive criticism instead of yelling in frustration lol.
1. Have your grip a little wider - this gives the bar more height through the pull and gives you more time to get under it.
2. squat a deeper into it. If its a full C&J then it should be full ROM. And finally;
3. You were doing push press (you finished by locking out the elbows which means a no lift). Jerk = dip back under the bar with arms locked, THEN stand up.
