NASA has had the most profoundly positive impact to our way of life. And the idea that removal of the space program to cut government budget would be effective is crazy! NASA's budget is 0.6% of the total national budget. In fact, the ENTIRE funding of NASA since it's inception in 1958 (adjusted for current dollar value) has been $618.4 Billion.

That is right... Nearly the same amount of money that we have spent in 4 years on the Iraq war (currently at $450 Billion).

you are ridiculous. we are there for oil? why aren't we in venezuela? 40% of our oil comes from them. how much oil do we buy from iraq? we have spent a lot of money on this war, we aren't making money on it. you obviously know nothing about this issue. and they did have WMDs, not all WMDs are nukes you know. he had chemical and biological weapons. and SAMs that went well beyond the 60km radius they were allowed.

unfortunate isn't it. i would challenge anyone to attempt to take our arsenal away. you complain about our military, but deep down you need us around. again, i am not sure where you are from, but if it wasn't for us the world would be a lovely mix of communists and nazis. and japan may or may not have been about to surrender, they couldn't be trusted for their word. they were cowards and deceptive about the start of the war. we should have nuked tokyo as well, and we shouldn't have rebuilt them.

i don't know of any americans that like our current trade relations with china. our government needs to break trade ties with china, pay off our international debt, return to the gold standard, and forge economic/trade ties with ASEAN and MercoSur.
