I i have heard they are build by Cat themselves, but I've also heard rumors that Siemens was partners in design phase, not sure if it's true, but Siemens do have a lot of experience, so it sounds plausible.
Torgue numbers, I've heard someone mention about 1500 lbs/feet on each motor, of which there is two. But then, they are geared down too, so at the track you could have a helluva whole lot more.

Does anyone know who makes the electric motors for Cat?
What sort of torque specs do they produce?

I understand that it goes a bit faster than the R series ii on flat ground. Does that electric drive make 2500 lbs-ft. or more before channeling through that reduction to the drive sprocket?

@kostea13 oh i thought the whole dozer waz electric. never mind i like it i guess.caterpillar never did anything to me.but can't afford it cause i just bought a brand new john deere.
