If you pulled the truck up farther you could have just spun the piano on it's butt and put it directly onto the stairs, without having to slide it on the gravel.
.Also two guys below and one above is more efficient and better on your back, you're not pulling from the side, although with a little 400 pound spinet it really doesn't matter
