"Welsh Singer song-writer Jem has been taking the US pop world by storm, being voted best international newcomer of 2004, however over here in her native Great Britain she's only just breaking through with her debut single. Part 1 -- In this section our Andrea chats to Jem about how she got into music, learning on an old out-of-tune piano and writing songs as early as age 13. Taking a slightly different route when she got to university by studying law. Jem soon got back to her musical routes organising drum and bass nights and eventually setting up a small record company with a DJ friend. She explains how all this has helped in her climb to the top."
