  • lol, HEY A SQUAT RACK

  • @mblarkin I know that is an old comment, but hamstrings dont really cause butt wink as you are bending at the knee. Restriction of hip flexion is mainly the hip flexor and the glutes

  • oh, feets are not allowed to hit the ground or box while stretching?

now i know where the knee pains come from...

    thx a lot!

  • @dexbot - no it wouldn't to my knowledge but hopefully Kelly will chime in on this. The "butt wink" is generally do to a couple things, weak lower back muscles unable to maintain the hips up and/or tight hamstrings pulling the lower part of the hips under. Doing some PNF hamstring stretches to help lengthen the muscle and learning to control your lower back muscles and keep the hips up will help control the wink. Hope that's helpful.

  • Does that drill help with avoiding the tail tuck when squatting?
