I am a thoroughly heterosexual woman but I actually gasped during that scene in Jude when Kate removed her clothes and revealed a body that is the epitome of ideal feminine beauty. I don't like to throw the word "goddess" around but I would cast her as Aphrodite any day.

Anything with Kate is amazing. No exception here. She's a goddess, and that's a fact. Easily the best actress working today. Meryl can only wish. And I don't mean to denigrate her considerable talents. But you never think of Kate as mechanically or technically good. She truly inhabits her roles.
