I think Kathy Lee tried really hard not to say that punks try hard to look like trash. What they didn't know back in the 80's that we know today is how most punks are trust fundies or college loan life-stylers and spend a hell of a lot of money on their lifestyle. All this nonsense about not wanting to be labeled wears thin when you realize there are labels, stereotypes and other social diminishment that crust and gutter and rock punks cherish and work for.
