Kings Of Leon - Crawl Guitar Solo Live at the O2 (Live Cover)

A video of me playing the guitar solo for the great Kings Of Leon song, Crawl off their fourth album Only By The Night. The solo is based on the live version Matthew Followill plays as I prefer it to the album version, but backing track is the album version of the song. Solo is based from a few video's I've seen, especially these two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX1Cvw_E8q4 , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkWoFpFU96U . Tried to get it as accurate as possible.

My gear is Fender American Stratocaster through a Route 66 Overdrive pedal and Digitech Whammy Pedal (in true KOL form) amplified through a 100 Watt Marshall DSL 100 Valve Amplifier.

Thought I wouldn't bore you with the whole song so just uploaded the guitar solo part. It's my favourite Kings Of Leon guitar solo and think Matthew's done some great things on this album. Also I'm in a band called the Dastards, come check us out at a UK venue near you!

What do you do a 0:04 onwards and how do you get that sound? i love it!

@TheMrJAMESxx Hey. I play artificial harmonics and use a whammy pedal to shift the note one octave higher, and back again.

farr broo soo good, sounds just like the live version matt plays. What effects/pedals are you using to get the squealish sound from 0.04-0.11 where the note is the same but the pitch changes??

@fergo321 Thanks. It's a Digitech Whammy. It just shifts the pitch up one octave.

@theinsideoutband All on the B string - Play the 8th fret once, then again with a bend, 10th fret once, then again with a bend, 12th fret once, then again with a bend and 15th fret once, then again with a bend.
