He can't drive, but I'm the one who is being punished. Is this justice? Breakthrough's new campaign asks this very question. Our new campaign, Is This Justice? aims to bring attention to the growing incidence of stigma and discrimination faced by women living with HIV/AIDS in India--after they are infected by their husbands.

  • @vipin2k9 Please go and check the facts. In rural regions and even small towns people are ignorant about the AIDS and HIV virus. I am not talkin about urban population where blame game can come in picture still 80% of indian population are from either rural or small towns. Noone cares about the educated class and people like us where blame game is done. This is about those families where the relatives boycott or held the girl responsible for killing her husband and it happens and it is an issue

  • @AksheeShadow I really don't think they throw wives out when husbands catch AIDS. Even if they do, I think its blame game, rather than women oppression that is responsible. Its because of videos like this, that people still think of India as a snake charming nation.

  • @dilanka911 Its an example trying to define the injustice done to women who are accused of being characterless when they get infected with HIV coz their husbands have been unfaithful or whatever reasons they have got infected with HIV. Its not to be taken literally.

  • @cheekiilebo I request you to kindly watch the full ad, they are promoting that better be aware of HIV, if ur partner is HIV infected thn it does not mean that society will also point at other partner.

  • @zaheerahmadqureshi12 MInd ur tounge man, we can also speak like u but would not like to speak ill about u or abt ur nation. After nobody's nation is bad but the people living in that nation make it worth living or worst living.

So stop saying anything abt India, mind it.

  • @nashix well said!

  • if this really happens in india, im so glad i was not born there

  • It's a HIV ad people, it has nothing to do with unjust physical abuse. They're just putting it into perspective. Saying, what you see on the ad is unjust, but what about the women who get thrown out cause their husbands die from aids.

  • the great indian

  • Thats the point. Men don't slap women for their mistakes, then why is society unjustly punishing HIV+ wives after their husbands die.
