@danophile07 dude his brother is a metalhead and he got his influances from him an thus developed his own interest in the guitar from the age of abowt 10.

I know I couldn't sweep pick till I was about 17. But then again I started playing at 14. I'm 21 now. I'm impressed by this kid
I don't know, just seems a lot of sour grapes with these comments - sure, he's got a lot to learn about tone, musicianship and technique BUT HE'S 13 FOR GODS SAKE!! - I wish I'd have been half that good at his age - and suspect most of you do too, but won't admit it.....

that tone is fucking horrible

Way to go with the "constructive" criticism. I'm sure you were perfect in tone and technique at that age....

I don't see how tone has anything to do with age. factor. He asked for criticism on his playing and that's what happened. A 4 year old could be better and a 64 year old could be worse than him, so stop trying to put age into this.

Sorry, but I don't agree. Age generally equals experience, and no-one understands about things like tone until they have been playing a few years (how many people do you know who own signature guitars, amps or pedals? Yeah, like that will make you sound like your idol.....).

Musicianship is something else that you don't really get until you start to realise there are other forms of music outside of your immediate influences, and technique is something you should be trying to improve all the time as a musician, and again takes many years of practice.
Furthermore, a 64 year old is unlikely to improve, wheras the four year old (because of his AGE) is more likely to get better.
