Carl is my friend, I cut his hair actually, and he works hard and there is no doubt he will smash this year, even with the wrist operation... He just said the other night that he will be fine and will work hard that much harder in spring training... He good!!!!!

For as naturally talented as he might be, the fact is that Carl got paid $18 million for a 2011 season in which he earned stats which weren't even as good as B.J. Upton's. He's a great player, no doubt, but talent needs to be molded, and the Red Sox don't have the best manager in baseball. The Rays do.
I'm looking forward to seeing Matt Moore strike him out next season.
