Black Gold is a feature film by Jeta Amata that will be released in 2011. The cast includes, Billy Zane, Hakeem Kae Kazim, Mbong Odungide, Nathin Butler, and Sarah Wayne Callies,

I was taking a break from scoring one of the sequences, "Blood On My Hands," and thought I would share how it's coming along and what virtual instrument software is really driving it.

The main components include LA Scoring Strings (LASS), Symphobia, and VSL. I'm not at liberty to say much about the scene other than it's an uncomfortably intense sequence. The score is nearing completion and the soundtrack which is currently sitting at 1 hour 14 minutes should be released within the next few months. I appreciate you taking the time to watch this and hopefully it might answer a few questions about the software being used and how it's being applied to the score.
