Legislative Strategy for Global Safe Motherhood

In the last 20 years there has been little progress made to reduce maternal mortality. In those 20 years, 10 million women died. At Americans for UNFPA, we want a renewed commitment for the United States to be a leader in international programs that save women's lives.

We also want our legislators to support a forthcoming Safe Motherhood Resolution in the House and a forthcoming Safe Motherhood bill in the Senate.
