  • just curious....why dont you shoot the ak with the same style as the m4? is there better control doing it this way or is the barrel shorter or something?

  • @dukeofnothing666

if i rolled my thumb over the bore on an AK i wouldn't be able to see my sights

  • ok I've done some time in the service and I've see two of your vids and i can see you've had more training in shooting them me but what about the elbow there man. isn't that still bad posture. just curious. Not trying to cause tension or a fight just curiouis.

  • @xLowLightx

reducing fulcrum points for the muzzle to rise by keeping the arm parallel to the bore. elbow is placed outward so when drawing the rifle into the shoulder pocket the line of pull is straight back, while with the elbow downward when influencing the gun has a tendency for pulling low and left. for me it also allows my hand to roll higher on the gun.

check out my favorites, i have a video of Jason Falla giving his own quick explanation of the whole elbow thing

  • @FatalTracerBurn Ah the ol' tactical reload of the AK variant. We were constantly instructed to not do it in the Finnish Army, mainly because many would fail reloading even more if attempting this, but I still applied it always. I did however do it differently, by using my trigger finger to push on the magazine release and then just flip the mag gently off and insert a new one in, thus not damaging the magazine like you mentioned.

  • Very cool!

    Keep up the vids!

  • @mec567 I think the audio is good because the camera was far away but zoomed in...that's also why the background is out of focus.

  • @MichaelBarnes And woudlnt you burn your thumb on the gas tube, as this one's tube lies open, without cover from the handguard?

  • @MichaelBarnes Very interesting technique... Love how your camera captures the sound of the gun. It sounds GREAT!

  • nice sound

  • I'd imagine your thumb is getting mighty warm there, also, be careful doing that reload, you can easily warp the feed lips of the magazine, as well as cause the follower to do a nose dive. I personally grab the next magazine, hit the magazine release with my thumb, then stick the next magazine in, rack, then back into the fight.

  • @MichaelBarnes Nice video Where did you Buy Yours From? My Friend has a Wild Hog Problem He wants to know something to handle the problem

  • @MichaelBarnes thanks its just new i guess, I've been out of the army for a few years now and never seen that. i just asked my sf buddy and he told me its a normal stance a lot use it. but thanks ill check them out.

  • How did you get that crisp audio?
