Actually why she looks like a Night Elf is becuase they didn't yet have a High(Blood) Elf sprite for her yet. I think if you got to Undercity now she DOES look like a High Elf. As mentioned below, she is an Undead High Elf.... not a Blood Elf. Anyway, this is my favorite Quest, and always will be. For the Horde! Glory to the Sin'dorei! And long "live" Lady Sylvanas!

Arthas was a fool to leave her alive (albeit in a mostly dead state). He thought he could control her but she ended up leading a whole section of the Scourge in revolt.

And it makes sense that she looks like a Night Elf. Although High Elves split from the other elves several thousand years in the past, they do still have some connection. She was a Ranger General and so it makes sense that she would wear markings on her face as camo for ambush attacks and such.

defsens why she can't be n elf or blood elf
1. nigth elf skin just is cuz they had not made blood elf a bit after they fixed the dead high elf skin on her
2. the high elves did be called blood elves by prince kael after the destrucion of the sunwell slyvanas died under that so shes still high elf(as undead)
