Richard Alley address a common argument about climate change: that increasing amounts of carbon dioxide, CO2, are coming from natural sources, like volcanoes. He explains how analysis of the carbon atoms in the CO2 shows that they are the type that comes from burning fossil fuels. Therefore, the only possible explanation can be... "It's Us."

Its not a non-issue when average temperatures globally increase by +5C over normal in the end of this century if we keep on with business as usual. The temperature difference between the last ice age and the one we have is only -6C globally. 0.8C warming is obviously already enough to melt the Arctic so in my eyes its not slight at all. The extra heat now being trapped due to lower albedo will no doubt increase the rate of warming even more. And I haven't even mentioned methane here...

After initializing and parametrizing hundreds of multidimensional datasets, inserting decentred proxy data and ignoring any difficult natural forcing factors,we ran hundreds of simulations until we obtained the results we wanted–an ensemble of meaningless projections, which we then averaged. We utilized a liberally unprincipled component analysis to homogenize and sensitize this to produce a hockey stick, which gave an unequivocal prediction,(95%+probability) that we are totally screwing all of you

We also know that the warming is so slight that it is a non issue. 2000 years from now we may have to reduce fossil fuel consumption today we are fine.

Are we living on the same planet? There is a clear and significant warming that has happened since pre industrial times. You can cherry pick dates on a strong El Niño and La Niña to create your bogus statistics, but the trend in temperatures is clear and steadily rising. 90% of the warming is actually happening in the ocean which also suffer acidification due to increased CO2 as well as rising sea levels. Its basic physics and very well known science now.

Lol it is us, unfortunately there is no large corresponding warming. During the past 16 years we have had no statistically significant warming. clearly this is a non issue.

There's a common myth that ostriches put their heads in the sand when they see something that they don't want to see i.e. a predator, in the hope that if the don't see it, it will go away. Man-made climate change "deniers" put their "head in the sand" when they are shown evidence for what they don't want to see i.e. man-made climate change.

It's just name calling. The "ostriches" also called "deniers" are the people who find this kind of propaganda unconvincing.

OK, but what does that have to do with ostriches?
