Kobe, my mom's talking African grey, cheers with handclaps, "Go Kobe Go!" and basketball swishes during Game 7 of the Lakers vs. the Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals. (Official video) ...and the parrot is female, but the original owners didn't know that.

Thanks-- the Congo African grey is the larger of the two subspecies, the Timneh being the other. My sister owns a Timneh who is not as talkative but whistles a lot of mean tunes. It seems that some Greys may prefer whistling over talking and then stick with those sounds.

Kobe here is about 5 years old, so she should live another half century if we continue taking good care of her.
