Music & Ballet School of Baghdad 2003

This is a clip from a short documentary film "Baghdad in Four Days" produced by our Institute (INEAS).

It was video taped at the Music & Ballet School of Baghdad in November 2003 by Wafaa' Al-Natheema. However, the narration and production of the film report took place in Massachusetts (USA).

In this clip, you will see two music teachers; Fuad Ridha As-Saden who was one of the founders of the Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra (INEAS), and Fuad Al-Mashta who, as of the interview date, was performing with the IRAQI National Symphony Orchestra (INSO)

The name of the flutist at the end of the clip is Sara Majid al-Ghazaly.

OMG I once met Master Fo2ad el Sadin in his house and played the violin for him before I leave iraq. Now I finally settled down, found a new teacher, and resumed my violin studies. All the favor returns to my teacher, Omar Abdul wahab, who was a pupil of Master Fo3ad el Sadin I still remember that. This great man was offering violin lessons for free. What a great man and a truly music lover. God bless him.

هنالك خبر قديم حول قيام مسلحين بحرق مدرسة الموسيقى و الباليه هذا الخبر قديم و يعود لسنين و لكن تخيلوا مدى الهمجية التي يصل اليها البعض ... نحن بحاجة اكثر لفيديوات توثق مدى حضارة المجتمع العراقي اعتقد ان هذا رد مناسب لكل من يكرة العراق و الانسانية .
