Nothing against you personally or Muslim. I speak up for Muslims in the West because I have experienced the harsh life of an oppressed minority in Indonesia. Fortunately, the Muslims in western countries are protected because people like me stand up for them. In Indonesia, too many failed to stand up against injustice. Ask the East Timorese, the Communists, the Chinese, the Papuans and the Ahmadiyah Muslims. I hope it's changing.

RIP Andy Tielman. Rasa Sayange. I envy you. Tanah Airku? I so wished it was but my country of birth was never my motherland. Unlike you, I have no sweet memories of Indonesia, a nation that hounded, killed, raped and maimed my relatives and the people who look like me. Just because we are not Muslim, just because we have fair complexion. I am so glad that my son does not have to experience what I went through as a kid.
