Opera is a living thing. No use lamenting dead composers and singers...find those who are still doing their thing. Neill. Today is ripe with golden voices...if you look for them. Usually not the ones who are being sold to us, though. They are all hype, for the most part. Tired, wobbly and boring...or nasal, tight and forced.
