@J4m3s1nc hi there! It's designed to help you protect your iPad if it is dropped or bumped, but we can't guarantee that it will protect from any and all certain damage, as dropping your iPad is never a good thing to do. Depending on the severity of the fall (how far, at what angle, onto what surface, etc) you could sustain damage to an iPad that are dropped or mis-treated, case or not. A case will help, in most instances, however. :D
