    Only just found this video. Have you seen the same sort of project done with using Silicone Tubing? You can purchase silicone tubing with a 5mm internal diameter and use 5mm led's at each end of the tube. Now here's the interesting bit, fill the tubes with water!!!! Make sure the led's are well sealed to the tubing prevent water leakage.

    colored straws work for a quicker, cheaper... however more flimsy creation. A standard 5mm LED fits snugly inside the straw...I love LEDs...Haha!
