Sebastian Janikowski of the Raiders attempts to set a new record with a 76-yard field goal before half time. As if that wasn't hard enough, he was kicking into the wind. The seemingly impossible kick proved actually impossible and the Raiders coach was fired today. Finally.

Elated I stubled onto this film. Love Youtube due to this type of information...

My homeboy was previously bullied. He stated he was planning to get bigger. I didn't believe him. Til within weeks he gained 40 pounds of full-strength muscle mass. He used the Muscle Building Bible (Google it). Not a soul dares to intimidate the man nowadays.

I personally registered the other day. Plus this guys emails are fucking awesome!

Any coach with brains who wanted to give his kicker a slight chance of making this would have sent the offense on the field first and try to draw the defense off side. Yes, even JaMarcus could manage a head bob or two and not bungle it. Maybe.

Seabass has a strong leg. There's a great chance he will set a new record because he will be given more attempts at it than the league's other kickers for one thing. My problem here is with putting him on the field when it's beyond his means and you not realizing nothing good would have happened. The no harm no foul mentality shouldn't apply with the game still on the line.

Logically no they had nothing to gain scoring wise, and yeah the 76yd FG is a ridiculous play. Urban legend wise would tell that Sebas has a chance at this. I get that it's never been done and may not ever. But I believe he will make a 65yd at least one day just to have the record. If you don't believe that its possible then fine. But to end this back and forth because no realization was made.

    The reality is this

    1. He missed.

    2. Cromartie did not return this for 6

    3. They kept momentum.

Yah, they did stink. There are some things out of reach and this FG succeeding was one of them. Luck would have been a penalty on the Chargers while the ball was in the air or a fumble by Cromartie returned by Raiders for a TD.

I was really taking a shot at the JaMarcus heralded Raiders offense more than I was complimenting Janikowski. But hey, he could have gotten lucky, weirder shit has happened.

There was nothing to gain here scoring wise for the Raiders since Sea bass had zero chance of clearing the cross bar. This was the equivalent of a 54 yard punt more or less. Why give the other team a chance at the ball on the last play of the 1st half? Answer : Because you want to go the the locker room with the lead you have and the momentum.

Watch this again... Nothing bad happened... That is what I'm pointing out... This is a last second throw away play, and would have been an amazing accomplishment. Even if the absolute worst would have happened, they still would have had a lead to fall back on, if you check the score... I see the possibility of a return. BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN! THEY WERE PREPARED!

No kidding. My point was that 7 is a better reward than 3 if you MUST run a play in this game situation. As it was, there was no chance Seabass makes this and it was returned just as a pick would be. Besides, I'm not the one who said there was no risk on this or any play.
