I would love to see a tv series based on these books. I agree there is too much to include, but if it is pared down to the more interesting characters it could work. Following TR and Custer would be the center piece of the WWI part, and Chester Martin, Cincinatus, Scipio, Ann Colleton and her brother , and Jake Featherston would fill out a well rounded story. The coffee house in DC and the Moss storyline could make minor appearances. It could work.

The Timeline 191 can never be made into a TV series because there is just too much information for the audience to digest. Other vital information would be glossed over and end up being a mess.

@eflint; Fascism without centralization is pretty much feudalism. I don't know many american southerners, do you think they some dressed up new feudalism might have appealed to them more?

@CongressmanCYD Chill out? Excuse me, but I was simply expressing an opinion. I like Harry and have dozens of his books. i was simply stating where I think he misses it.

They should turn all of the Timeline 191 books into movies or an HBO series. From How Few Remain to Settling Accounts: In at the Death

hbo is the perfect choice for an adaptation of videssos as well.
Turtledove's whole premise is flawed. It's ridiculous to think that the CSA would have gotten involved in WW1 and later embraced the radical centralization of fascism after they had fought of war of independence in order to keep radical centralization from happening. It does seem though that the Yankee nation has elected a man very similar to Jake Featherston

@eflint1 Dude, chill out. Turtledove is a science FICTION writer. He has other books which include time travelers giving the Confederate Army AK-47s, the USA developing into 50 sovereign nations, and SS officers riding unicorns. His writings are meant to entertain, not to push a political agenda.
