Definitely dangerous. It can cause more harm than good because hot wax can drip down into your ear burning your ear drum. It's been proven wrong multiple times on youtube and by actual medical researchers. You can light the candle without it against an ear and get the same results. Don't believe Certified Massage therapists regarding stuff like this! If you have tension in your shoulders or back then go to them. Go to an ear, nose and throat doctor if you have problems with wax build up.
