hey man doing it with a pulldown rope to remove bodyweight is an AWESOME idea! I"ve been doing these for months and never thought to do it like that! God I love youtube!

Put a bench in front of you. Slowly lower yourself towards the bench. Push off the bench if you must.

lame, hes got the weight helping him. so if hes doing this to build strength for speed in sport, hes wasting his time

Good idea...and I'm sure effective, but I think the goal is to hit the point of failure which you can't do when using the assistance of the cable and weight.

I agree when you say that I most go deeper BUT, when you can't go deeper in the beginning.. I think this is a perfect way to start with it and get used to it.
