Ingredients:
4 Golden Delicious Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 eggs separated
3/2 cups milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking power
3 tbsp Calvados liqueur

1) Preheat oven to 350F. Generously butter an 11x7inch baking dish. Arrange the apple slices neatly in the dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of sugar and sprinkle the cinnamon over the apples.

2) Place the eggs yolks in a blender, add the milk, and whirl thoroughly. Add the remaining 1/2 cup sugar, milk, flour, baking powder, and liqueur and whirl some more until well blended Cover the top of the apples with the mixture.

3) In a large bowl, beat the egg whites stiff with a mixer and, with a spatula, spread it over the entire top of the egg yolk mixture. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
