Unfortunately, the G System 4-cable-method sucks tone from the Diezel amps. Set the G System to "Kill Dry" (100% wet effects). You will only be able to use DETUNE, DELAY, REVERB, and HARMONIZER. But these effects will sound amazing. Plug your guitar into Loop1 RETURN and make sure Loop1 is always on. Put your favorite chorus, flanger, or whatever in Loops 2, 3, and 4. With this setup, you have zero A/D conversion of your tone. It will sound much better. I have the VH4 and Herbert.

So you have : [Guitar] into [loop1 return GS] and simply the [Outpout of GS] into the [Input of the Head(in front)]

That's interesting as I run my Nova system in the effects loop foregoing the drive part of the unit as I prefer the drive / gain from the amp, however would like to be able to wire up like you can with the G System as not all the effects sounds so good in the effects loop such as compression etc.

@CYBERTWIN68 the" 4 cable technic" allow you to have some effects of the g-system before the loop effect of the amp and some other (like delay) in the loop... it's a very good thing. Sorry for my bad english, i'm french.

I'm not 100% satisfed about this configuration cos the g-system hurt the sound of my amp... i don't know why but without the g-system my amp sound better... With only a lttle nova delay in the effect loop, the sound is more percussive and loud and good... But the g-system allowed me to have something to change quickly my amp channel with several effects instantanely, and it's the only way to have only one cable between the pedalboard and the amp, cleaner , and no alimantation is require.
