I have been asked by quite a few people how to make this oscillator so i have made a quick step by step guide on how to do it.The transistors emitter goes to the right and not left like i say in the vid.I have used small pans as i don't have much space but output is increased with the aluminium pie tins.If the oscilator won't start, try reversing the trigger coil connections in case it is wired different than mine. For optimal wireless reception, use a matched trigger coil reciever circuit like i show in my simple SEC 3 vid.

  • I built the bare bone set up I used a MPS2222A- NPN transistor 1k Ohm resistor, a yellow trigger transformer. As far as the LED I used the one from the camera board the diodes are 1N4004 I soldered all connections just to make tight connections. I didnt get a voltage and basically the transistor just got hot. Do you have any suggestions? I really want to go further with this SEC setup! Thanks

  • Hi drstrnglov. The connections for your trigger coil may be different to mine so it is best to build the circuit in a way that you can easily swap things about. The three things that i would suggest is first remove the 1k resistor or change it to 1 ohm.1k is to big for a current measuring resistor.Check the data sheet for your transistor to make sure it is connected ok.Check that the transistor is ok as it should not heat up and may be broke.Try swapping the connection for the trigger coil.Jonny

  • i cant get my sec circuit to work i used a plastic 2n2222a transistor l and i did try a metal one but it dident work for me iether is the clear led in the receiver a low voltage one what are the details of it

  • Hi steven. The Led is a blue 3.2V 10000mcd.Have you got a reading on your amp meter? If you do what is it?Also try reversing the + in and collector connections on the trigger transformer. You can test your av plug detector with a plasma globe if you have one.Jonny

  • my trigger coil didn't worked at start and i just inverted the top with the bottom wire,so it lighting up now flicker flame bulbs, cfl, led with 1 wire, basically everything ,and i used an sec exciter mini tower and inside of it it it's really cool, and btw put some watter inside those tins and after that you put an cfl to just touch the watter and 1 wire and it works :D ,thanks a lot Jonny :)

  • Hi ciprianwiner. That is great news and good info.Welcome to the world of wireless energy and thanks for trying the circuit and letting me know how you got on.Cheers and happy experimenting.Jonny.

  • wtf are you saying omg ur so hi tec holly shit

  • @jonnydavro - this is amazing. Did Spock teach you this? McGiver would be so jealous! :P Seriously though... thank you, for all your hard work to make something so simple that helps get a person's feet wet.
