And also to point out, Bireli is a phenominal bass player and a very good violin player as well.

I just checked out Shawn Lane for the first time, i watched a bunch of vids with him performing and yes he is definitely great but I still say Bireli is better (this is only my opinion) Ya Shawn lane is great at shredding and he has great technical skill as well as emotional feel but for me he does not compare to the versatility of Bireli Lagrene. I have seen Bireli play almost every style of music i can think of even metal, just type in Bireli Metal to watch him shred like its nothing!!

@sangohan42 Check out the video of Lagrene playing Stella by Starlight. I think you'll appreciate his playing on that one.
