65 Puppetmaster tanking in exp party

65-67 party: Pup, blu, thf, war, whm, rdm. The birds were VT-IT to me. I tanked them with no issues, they could barely hit me and when they did it was very weak. Lobo did so well on keeping me cured that the whm had to eventually resort to just doing banishes in an attempt to be more helpful to the party. All a pup needs to be able to tank is a thief, because as a pup we have very poor hate control.

No problem. At that time I wore Black Adargas for the vitality bonus and some guard+, AF: Head (for defence) legs, and shoes full time. Aketon body (Agi and evasion plus good defence). Hands: Protecting Bangles (Rediculous defence). I macro swap my AF hands for meneuvers so I limit overload.

@WoodyIsRHCP pup/mnk becomes useless at around lvl 10-20 or so after that you should be subbing war. It's like going WHM/RDM it doesn't really give u any benefits. the voke macro + the added attk boost is really handy in controlling hate if ur out soloing. Since if ur puppet dies u die and u dont want it getting hate and chances are it will get hate lol

From what I see you subbed WAR for provoke?

Would you recommend subbing DNC for the taunt & healing abilities, or do you lose too much damage doing that?

Nice vid, guess its pretty old now, but considering PUP's gotten better in recent updates I suppose that just makes it so much better.

The only thing I hate is that it has to be with SATA, PUP obviously has major tanking potential in the same scheme as Ninja, SE should have made Role Reversal a lv. 50 ability and PUP would have instantly been accepted into the loop as a viable party asset. I suppose having it at lv. 75 isn't too bad, though. That plus Ventriquy. If only the timer was shorter...

I see... thanks so much for the info, as lately there's been lack of ppl for party and I'd tank gladly for them just need necessary armor :p Now I'm Lv.57 so I'm more used with AF so I know what to swap. Thanks again ^^
