It is relatively simple - just slowly rotate your pencil as to DRAW-PULL it along.
Never "push" the pencil.
This technique also keeps a point on the lead which reduces sharpening it and also assists in creating that consistent line as it is always the same diameter/taper.
This requires a steady hand and CONFIDENCE but you need to practice a little - you can do it.
