This is an original, unrestored International 8-16 complete with the original and very rare air cleaner. The hood sheet metal was replaced, patterned from the original, but the fenders and the rest are the real thing. It was retired and stored inside a barn, and placed up on stones, in the early 1950's, so the wheels are in remarkable condition. The original paint and IH decals are still visible. As you can see, it starts and runs well. This was filmed at the Carroll County, Ohio Algonquin Mill Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct.11, 2009. The owner also has a 1917 tractor of the same model as well as a growing collection of other vintage IH tractors, as well as a variety of vintage Chevrolet, International, and Dodge trucks, such as the Dodge seen here. The Algonquin Mill Festival is a 3 day annual event in October-join us!

  • @AGIII49 Actually, the one you see in this video (1921) is still in it's original condition. The one you saw painted green is the same model, a restored 1917. I'll try and get a video of both tractors together. You would have to look hard to find nicer people-he has been a world of help with the restoration of my Dodge, and his wife is wonderful! I always tease her-most wives would throw their husbands out for bringing home old trucks and tractors-she has HER truck, and loves it! ~Thanks!

  • damn that sounds good

  • Do you have the serial number to that 8-16? I also have a 1921 model and curious as to your serial number, thanks.

  • Great to see this old tractor restored and RUNNING!

    Never heard one running before.

This was the last IHC "chain-drive" tractor.

  • Very nice, I love the sound of those old tractors.

  • Very cool!
